ADSL Broadband

ADSL or Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line is one of the most common types of domestic broadband. Delivered to homes through the phone line, ADSL allows customers to surf the web, download music, and watch live video whilst also still having the ability to make calls as normal. Gone are the days where you had to disconnect the internet in order to use your landline phone.

The speeds available from an ADSL broadband connection are mainly affected by the distance from your home to the local telephone exchange, and ofcourse the service package you are subscribed to with your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Unlike dial-up internet access, ADSL provides broadband internet access this is always on, this means that whenever your computer is powered up you’ll have uninterrupted access to the internet. ADSL also allows more than one user to share the account, so users with multiple computers can all access the internet at the same time, using the same ADSL connection.
