UK mobile provider 3, have today unveiled a new offer that allows new subscribers to receive free Mi-Fi mobile broadband access.

3 launched their new wireless Mi-Fi router last month which enables up to 5 users or separate devices to connect to the 3 mobile broadband service.

The main advantage of Mi-Fi is that even though the wireless router allows multiple device connections, it actually consumes less power than 3G, which means less battery consumption when compared with connecting to the mobile broadband network via 3G.

The 3 MiFi mobile broadband service is now available on 18 month contracts priced at £15 per month (with 5GB and a £69.99 charge for the MiFi router), or as part of their “Ready To Go” package that includes a the wireless Mi-Fi modem, 3GB or data allowance (over a 3 month period) for £99.99.

With the pay as you go “Ready To Go” package, users can simply top-up in the same that pay as you go mobile broadband users do.
