The Talk Talk Essentials package includes fast broadband speeds of up to 8Mbps with a 40GB monthly download allowance and unlimited evening and weekend calls to UK landlines.

The package is priced at £6.49 a month with £11.25 for the phone line rental.

The PAYG package includes access to O2’s mobile broadband network, with broadband connection speeds of up to 3.6Mb with unlimited access to 6100 O2 Wi-Fi hotspots.

The O2 PAYG top-ups can be purchased in ‘Daily’, ‘Weekly’, and ‘Monthly’ blocks.

3 launched their new wireless Mi-Fi router last month which enables up to 5 users or separate devices to connect to the 3 mobile broadband service.

The main advantage of Mi-Fi is that even though the wireless router allows multiple device connections, it actually consumes less power than 3G, which means less battery consumption when compared with connecting to the mobile broadband network via 3G.

The 3 MiFi mobile broadband service is now available on 18 month contracts priced at £15 per month (with 5GB and a £69.99 charge for the MiFi router), or as part of their “Ready To Go” package that includes a the wireless Mi-Fi modem, 3GB or data allowance (over a 3 month period) for £99.99.

3 will be adding two new Samsung laptops including the N130 Mini Netbook and the 17.3 inch R720, which will be available free on a number of their mobile broadband packages.The new laptops will be available from October 1st with the N130 Mini Netbook bundled with a 1GB monthly download allowance for £20 a month. For an additional £5 a month, subscribers will receive an increase to 15GB of monthly data usage.

The Samsung N130 laptop includes a 10.1-inch display, 160GB hard drive, Windows XP home, and weighing only 1.25kg is a very portable device.

The Samsung R720 is intended more for home use with its 17.3-inch widescreen display, and 500GB hard drive.

The R720 is available free with 3 mobile broadband as part of a £40 per month contract with 15GB of monthly download allowance.

All of 3’s free laptop deals are subject to a 2 year (24 month) service contract.

Earlier this month Tiscali also reduced the installation cost of their two broadband tv packages down from £90 to £30.

Tiscali have cut the installation costs for both their TV, broadband, and home phone packages down from £90 to £30.

Customers who subscribe to Tiscali’s £19.99 a month deal will receive 8Mb broadband access, home phone line rental, a TV package with over 70 channels, and inclusive weekend UK and international calls.

The second package offered by Tiscali is priced at £24.99 per month, and includes the same broadband TV features with the addition of inclusive anytime UK and international calls.

The nine month broadband contracts have been marketed towards student broadband customers, although anyone can sign up for the nine month deal and qualify for the £25 Amazon voucher offer.

The BE Unlimited broadband package is priced at £17.50 per month, and offers users a broadband speed of up to 24Mb with unlimited usage. The package also offers subscribers a free wireless router and 24/7 customer support.

Also offering a broadband speed of up to 24Mb, the BE Pro package includes unlimited usage along with 24/ customer support, an upload speed of up to 2.5Mb and one static IP address.

The free two months service is available on the Best Value bundle and the Top Telly bundle, providing a saving of some £48 for new customers. Also included in the bundles are free installation and an additional online offer that will knock £20 off the first monthly bill.

Virgin Media’s Best Value broadband package includes the 10Mb Broadband L package, over 45 Digital TV channels, along with Virgin Media’s M+ service which offers customers an additional 20 TV channels including Sky 1, Living and Bravo – and inclusive weekend UK landline calls. The Best Value package is priced at £19.50 per month, along with £11 a month for a Virgin Media home phone line.

The other package, the Top Telly bundles includes 10Mb broadband, over 100 Digital TV channels, and weekend UK landline calls. The Top Telly package is priced at £25 per month along with the additional £11 a month Virgin Media phone line rental.

Both packages can be upgraded to include V+ HD for a one-time payment of £49 with an additional £5 a month. The V+ service allows customers to pause, rewind, and record live TV, along with the ability to access Virgin Media’s High Definition channels.
