UK mobile network Orange have today announced that the popular Apple iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS handsets will be available on their network later in the year.

The announcement follows months of speculation and rumour, and will break the exclusive handset away from O2 who have held the rights to sell the iPhone in the UK since its launch.

Exact pricing and tariff information for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS are not currently known, but the handset will be available through Orange UK outlets and through some select high street partners

Orange UK and Apple have reached an agreement to bring iPhone 3G and 3GS to Orange UK customers later this year. Orange globally now offers iPhone in 28 countries and territories.

Alongside their mobile phone network, Orange offer also offer a wide range of mobile broadband packages, with Orange mobile phone users also having the option to receive free fixed lined broadband.
