Students Boost PAYG Mobile Broadband Sales
Tue, Sep 15, 2009
Pay As You Go (PAYG) mobile broadband packages are proving a big hit with students according to new figures published this week by Tesco Telecoms.
According to the data, pre-paid mobile broadband sales have grown by a huge 71% in the past few weeks. The rise in sales for PAYG broadband services has been attributed to students finally taking note of the flexible PAYG dongle deals on offer.
An important factor in the PAYG decision making process is that by using a Pay As You Go broadband service there’s no need to install a landline, and that monthly squabbles over paying the direct debit are avoided.
PAYG and one month contract mobile broadband is available from all of the UK’s major suppliers, including Orange, 3, T-Mobile, O2 and Vodafone.
