Vodafone UK have today announced plans to deliver a new 14.4Mbps mobile broadband service to customers in high areas of demand across the UK.
The new mobile broadband package will be rolled out to areas with the greatest demand first, with London, Birmingham, and Liverpool already upgraded for the new service.
Current Vodafone mobile broadband customers won’t need to upgrade or purchase any additional hardware to access the new service either, Vodafone point out that over 80% of all Vodafone datacards/dongles and 3G handsets will all be able to take advantage of the network upgrades.
“Customers trust us to deliver a mobile network that they can rely on – wherever they are and whether they are individuals, or a small, medium or large business,” says Jeni Mundy, Chief Technology Officer, Vodafone UK. “Today’s network upgrade means customers can be reassured we’re consistently enhancing the quality of our network in response to demand.”
Vodafone has recently been awarded Best Consumer Mobile Broadband 2009 by the ISPA.
