Mobile broadband on the other hand can be used in any location where a mobile phone signal is available. Whilst the option of ‘anywhere access’ seems like the better option, mobile broadband services often include very low download allowances in comparison to home wireless broadband, and as a result aren’t always the best option for heavy usage.

A wireless broadband connections gives you the freedom to move around your home and access the internet without a fixed position. You can also access the wifi connection with your PDA or mobile phone, along with your laptop, desktop PC, or games console.

With wireless internet it is also important that you take care to protect your wireless network from hackers, neighbours, or just passers by wanting access your internet service without permission. Thanks to improvements in security and encryption software this is a very simple and straightforward process.
